Payer Terms
Version 2026-10-10 · Last updated 10 October 2026
In short
WentPay lets you save your own wallets and pay online stores in a couple of taps. Every payment goes straight from your wallet to the store, and only after you approve it in your wallet. We never hold your money or your keys and we'll never ask for your seed phrase. Blockchain transfers can't be reversed, and what you buy is between you and the store.
The summary helps you read the full text below; the full text is what applies.
1. About these terms
These Payer Terms are between you and Rothcroft LLC, registered at Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, NM 87110, USA ("WentPay", "we", "us"). They apply when you sign in to the WentPay checkout, link a wallet or pay a store (a "Merchant") with WentPay. By continuing at sign-in you agree to these terms and confirm you have read our Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.
2. What WentPay does
WentPay remembers the wallets you link, shows you which of them can pay a Merchant, and fills in the transfer to the Merchant's address for the right amount and network, so you don't copy addresses or choose networks by hand.
WentPay is non-custodial. We never receive or hold your funds, never hold your private keys, never sign transactions for you, and never convert currencies. WentPay will never ask for your seed phrase or private key. Anyone who does is not us.
3. Your WentPay account
You sign in with your email address and a one-time code we send to it. Keep your email account secure: anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has used your account.
4. Linking wallets
To link a wallet you sign a short message with it. This proves the wallet is yours. Signing it doesn't move any funds and doesn't give WentPay access to the wallet.
Only link wallets you control. You can remove a linked wallet at any time; removing it from WentPay doesn't affect the wallet or the funds in it. Your wallet app (for example TronLink or MetaMask) is provided by someone else under their own terms.
5. Making a payment
Each payment happens only when you approve it in your own wallet. Before approving, check the amount, the asset and the network shown in your wallet.
You pay the network fee from your wallet, in the network's own coin (for example TRX, BNB, POL or ETH). We show an estimate first and warn you if your wallet doesn't hold enough of it.
Once approved, a blockchain transfer is final. WentPay can't cancel, reverse or redirect it.
6. Your purchase and refunds
Your purchase is a contract between you and the Merchant. WentPay isn't the seller and isn't a party to it. Questions about orders, delivery, returns and refunds go to the Merchant, who sends any refund from their own wallet.
7. Risks you should know about
- Blockchains can be congested, delayed or unavailable, and fees can change quickly.
- Stablecoins depend on their issuers. An issuer can freeze addresses or tokens, and a stablecoin can lose its peg.
- Wallet software can have bugs, and a lost seed phrase means lost funds. We can't recover either.
- Information on public blockchains, including your wallet address and payments, is visible to everyone and can't be deleted.
8. Acceptable use
Don't use WentPay with funds you don't own or that come from crime, if you are a sanctioned person or in a sanctioned territory, to commit fraud, or to interfere with the service. We may screen wallet addresses against sanctions lists, and may refuse a payment or a wallet where the law requires it or we reasonably suspect misuse.
9. Your privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why. When you pay a Merchant, they receive your email address and the payment details (amount, network, your wallet address and the transaction) so they can fulfil your order.
10. Suspension and closing your account
You can stop using WentPay and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, or that puts others at risk.
11. Our responsibility to you
We provide the checkout with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by law, or our liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Otherwise we're not responsible for transfers you approved, for funds sent to an address you chose, for a Merchant's goods or services, or for losses caused by blockchains, wallets or stablecoin issuers.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we'll show you the new version at your next sign-in, and you'll be asked to agree before continuing.
13. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, USA, without taking away the protection of mandatory consumer laws where you live. Questions: [email protected].
